Areas of Work
Aksel Klint Bastegaard works with social vulnerability and inequality in both the specialized adult sector as well as the children and youth sector. He has conducted and contributed to several studies and projects addressing the specialized social sector, and throughout his career he has gained particular knowledge of municipal casework and perspectives on legal safeguards in case processing.
Methods
Aksel has practical experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods, but during his studies he focused especially on developing his quantitative skills, including quantitative processing of large amounts of textual material. In his position as an analyst at VIVE, he primarily works with analyses based on register and/or survey data.
Background
Aksel holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen (2022) and, through his studies and professional experience, has developed a broad interest and knowledge of the social sector in general. He has approached the field from both an interest organization and a central administration perspective through his work at the Social Educators’ Union and the analysis department of the Danish Appeals Board Authority (Ankestyrelsen).
