This project seeks to describe and understand students’ perspectives, experiences and behavior in the Danish ‘Folkeskole’ in 2017 and 2018. The Danish public school system will then have had 3-4 years to implement and operationalize the various elements of the most recent system-level school reform that was initiated in August 2014. The project makes use of both quantitative and qualitative data, and the ambition is that the synergy between the two types of data will provide both a broad and a deep understanding of how different types of students experience everyday life at school. Information about how individual teachers structure their teaching and how schools have chosen to implement the various reform elements are important factors that determine the school context and how it is experienced by students.
