Children, Adolescents and Families
Over the last decade it has become more common for children of divorced parents to live in shared parenting schemes and spend an equal amount of time with both parents. For the first time in Denmark, this research-based study elucidates how well or poorly sharing schemes work for children.
Among other things, this study shows that shared parenting can be successful for children, if their parents work well together and if there are not too many barriers in the everyday lives of the children. However, this is not always the case in real life.
The survey is based on detailed interviews with 28 children of divorced parents and 24 parents, and it has been financed by the Egmont Foundation.
