Construction and quality assurance of multisurvey data
Authors:
- Henning Olsen
Multisurvey studies, i.e. survey studies across national borders and cultures, have gained a serious foothold over the past 25 years. This report investigates how data is constructed and quality assured in multisurveys.
The report, which was written by Adjunct Senior Lecturer Henning Olsen, was based on a comprehensive study of the literature on methods in multisurveys, which he compares with the literature on monosurveys. The study culminates in a critique of the differences between the two study methods and their concept apparatus. The author demonstrates that the definitions of several central methodical concepts – especially within multisurvey research – are vague and contradictory. He therefore calls for a more comprehensive and well-defined concept apparatus.
