Evaluation of 22 social psychiatric projects in the 15M funding pool (a pool of money for social programmes for people with mental disorders)

This report focuses on the importance of a network for people with mental disorders. The report evaluates 22 social psychiatric projects, which in each their own way seek to strengthen the network among young people who are mentally disabled or who are developing a mental disorder. The evaluation shows that it is possible to maintain and expand networks for many of these people through different types of support, and strengthening these networks may relieve or even completely stop the development of actual mental disorders. The most positive results seem to be achieved by maintaining existing networks or creating new contacts, whereas trying to re-establish broken relationships is more complicated. Study material was collected at four seminars, where the 22 project groups were able to spar with each other and establish a common conceptual framework. The evaluation was commissioned and funded by the National Board of Social Services.
