In autumn 2004, the Danish Ministry of Social Affairs offered a funding pool of DKK 3 million for information activities on dementia. In this report, SFI evaluates whether the projects that received funding for information activities on dementia lived up to the objectives of the funding pool.
According to the evaluation, the projects have succeeded in disseminated knowledge of the various types of dementia and of local-level initiatives for people suffering from dementia. Also, they have succeeded in making it less of a taboo to discuss and be associated with dementia.
The report, which was commissioned by the Danish Board of Social Services and Special Advice, is based on a questionnaire survey and case studies of five selected information projects.
