With the establishment of employment regions in 2006, it became very important to examine the employment situation for disabled people in the individual regions.
This report identifies regional differences in employment levels and developments, as well as employment on ordinary terms and knowledge about employment-directed support schemes for disabled people. It also focuses particularly on the employment situation nationally, for persons with mental disorders and persons with both a disability and dislexia.
The survey shows that the majority of people with self-assessed disability or long-term health problems live in the South Denmark Region. The employment rate is largely the same in all regions, with the highest increase in Central Jutland and in Northern Denmark. Employment improved for persons with mental disorders at national level. Finally, persons with a disability as well as dislexia and writing difficulties are in employment to a much lesser extent than disabled people without such difficulties.
