This report analyses the level of education, educational activity and employment among people with disabilities. The report provides a detailed, nationwide description of the education programmes people with disabilities have completed or are currently studying, and how often disabled people with various qualification are employed. A significantly lower percentage of people with disabilities holds or is in progress with a qualifying education than people without disabilities. The report shows that for almost all levels of education, the employment rate is significantly lower among people with disabilities than for people without disabilities. Therefore, the results of the report indicate that there is potential for better exploitation of the qualifications of unemployed people with disabilities, with consequential benefits for society. The probability of employment increases with the length of training/education. For example, among people with disabilities, the employment rate is 31% for people who have completed lower secondary school, 55% for people with a commercial and clerical qualification, and 73% for people with medium-cycle higher education. The report was commissioned and financed by the National Agency for Quality and Supervision under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Education.
