This report evaluates gender equality efforts in the employment area. The goal of gender equality efforts is to ensure that men and women, who are available within different employment areas, have equal opportunities to become employed.
The evaluation shows that employment efforts for both genders are almost identical, and they have the same effect for each gender. However, it seems to be easier for women to be granted a rehabilitation programme, a flex-job or disability pension.
The report finds that women who have been referred to a rehabilitation programme or a flex-job, or who have been granted disability pension are more readily employable than men in the same situation.
This survey was funded by the National Labour Market Authority, and is based on information from Jobindsats.dk, Statistics Denmark’s Statbank Denmark and the National Labour Market Authority’s DREAM database.
