This report is an evaluation of the resources and risks questionnaire prepared as a part of the Early Identification project. The objective of the resources and risks questionnaire is to systematically map the risks and resources that apply for crime-prone children and adolescents.
The evaluation is based on experience from three pilot municipalities that assisted in testing and developing the resources and risks questionnaire. The purpose of the evaluation is to assess the usefulness of the questionnaire, and whether it supports and qualifies the possibilities of the professionals working with it to identify crime-prone children and adolescents, as well as to assess their individual risk and protective factors.
In overall terms, the evaluation shows that the questionnaire ensures a more systematic and holistic approach to assessments. The questionnaire strengthens the cross-disciplinary element and increases awareness about possible gaps in knowledge about the individual child.
