This report is an account of the knowledge available on the effect of interventions for readily employable people aged 50+. The report is based on a review of the results of Danish and foreign effect studies published in 1995 or after.
Among other things, the report shows:
- strong evidence that interviews have a positive effect for the transfer of unemployed older people to employment.
- indications that early interventions have a positive effect for the transfer of unemployed older people to employment.
- strong evidence of positive motivating effects from a general obligation for older unemployed people to take part in ordinary employability enhancement programmes or to document job searches.
This review is one in a series of literature reviews initiated by the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment.
