Public service delivery relies interprofessional collaboration, yet its value is unevenly perceivedacross professions. This study examines how frontline employees’ valuation of interprofessionalcollaboration influences team members' motivation and self-efficacy, and whether managerialsupport moderates these effects. Using panel survey data from Danish public school teams ofteachers and childcare workers, we find that teachers’ valuation of interprofessional collaborationenhances childcare workers’ self-efficacy. Conversely, childcare workers’ valuation of collaborationwith teachers associates with reduced teacher motivation and self-efficacy, irrespectiveof manage-rial support. These findings underscore profession-specific dynamics and the need for a nuancedunderstanding of interprofessional collaboration.
