Labour Market
This report presents the results of a survey of pay differences between women and men, with special focus on the period from 2007 to 2011. The report also includes comparative figures for pay differences from 1997 to 2010.
The object of the report is to follow-up on previous surveys, firstly in terms of the size and developments in pay differences, and secondly in terms of the relationship between pay differences and the differences between the two genders with regard to measurable factors such as level of education, work experience and position in the labour market. The analyses have been completed with focus on changes in the labour market as a whole, and specifically in the central-government, municipal/regional and private sectors respectively.
The report shows that the differences between men and women narrowed from 1997 to 2011, but that there is a relatively large pay difference.
