This booklet summarises the results of Yearbook 2002, which is the fourth in a series of reports to be published annually until 2006. Using a variety of ways the yearbooks measure the development in the social responsibility of enterprises and the inclusiveness of the labour market. Alternating issues of the yearbooks carry results of questionnaire surveys among enterprises and among employed wage earners.
Yearbook 2002 shows that Danish wage earners have in some areas become more positive in their assessment of the social responsibility in thei workplace. This mainly concerns the consequences of long-term illnes or reduced capacity for work. In 2001 more people expected the workplace to make an effort to retain them in employment compared to 1999.
Concrete experience of inclusiveness in the workplace also appears to play a role in the assessments and attitudes of wage earners regarding the social responsibility of enterprises.
However, it is not all wage earners that experience this change in the social responsibility of enterprises. unskilled wage earners continue to have less optimistic expectations and assessments of the social responsibility of enterprises.
