Currently there is no actual overview of relevant research about training and habilitation taken in and outside the specialized services for children and young people with significant disabilities. The present project provides an overview of studies about non-home-based training and habilitation, which supports and promotes the development of social skills in severely handicapped children and young people. It is the intended task to serve as inspiration for future municipal initiatives for disabled children and young people. The project is a "knowledge view" of research published in the period 2009-2014 about training and habilitation for children and adolescents with disabilities.
