Health inequalities begin before birth and children from disadvantaged mothers are more likely to experience for example smoking, substance abuse and physical inactivity and are more often born preterm and at lower weight than children from not-disadvantaged mothers. Early experiences can adversely impact health throughout life, and can persist across generations. The aim of this project is to evaluate an interdisciplinary intervention for disadvantaged pregnant women in Odense municipality. The project is carried out in collaboration with Odense university hospital, Odense Municipality and several non-profit organizations. The aim of the project is to reduce health inequalities through an interdisciplinary tailored intervention for disadvantaged pregnant mothers
