What explains the narrowing of the Danish gender wage gap?

A wage gap exists between men and women in Denmark as well as in most other western countries. In Denmark, this gap has been about the same size for decades. However, in the most recent decade, the gap was narrowed by almost 5 percentage points. The purpose of this project is to examine the explanations behind the narrowing of the Danish gender wage gap. For this purpose, we use administrative register data. Results will be published in a scientific article.
