Labour Market
Labour Market
Every year since 1998, SFI – The Danish National Centre for Social Research has conducted an annual survey of corporate social responsibility. The purpose is to monitor developments in the degree of labour market inclusion. Behind the studies are, in particular, efforts to prevent exclusion from the labour market and to find employment for people who, for various reasons, have difficulties finding a job. The Danish Ministry of Employment has funded the studies and they contribute to determining whether the objectives are being met. This year, the Year Book has special focus on the private service sector. It emphasises that there is a large potential within this sector for inclusion of unemployed people, although this potential is not being realised to the same extent as in other sectors. Enterprises perceive the following as obstacles to social responsibility: a more demanding labour market, a lack of applications or referrals for jobs on special conditions, as well as applications from disabled people and immigrants/refugees.
