Since 2008, Falck has had a series of 3-year partnerships with job centres for the sickness benefit area. This report presents the results of an evaluation of these public-private partnerships, which are the first of their kind in the sickness benefit area. The object of the partnerships is to reduce the duration of sickness benefit cases and thereby reduce municipal sickness benefit costs. This is to be achieved through implementing a number of initiatives including: additional employee resources, implementation of new documentation and follow-up tools, development of active offers and skills development for employees and management, etc. The report contains both a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the partnerships. Overall, the results of the evaluation indicate that the most positive impacts are achieved after completion of good implementation of as many as possible of the initiatives in the Falck model, and when there are only few negative and many positive factors in the process. The evaluation was commissioned and financed by Falck.
