The report evaluates the "Integrated programme for people with mental disorders" project in which six trial projects from 2011 to 2013 have worked on integrating treatment and social interventions for people with mental disorders. The project was initiated by the National Board of Social Services with funds from the public pool of funds . The six trial projects span three areas: children, adults and prevention. The regions taking part are the Region of Southern Denmark and the Central Denmark Region and participating municipalities are Holstebro, Silkeborg, Randers, Kolding, Fredericia and Faaborg-Midtfyn. The evaluation shows that the projects are very different, both in the way they define the concept of integration and in the specific tools they introduce. However, both citizens and specialists are positive about all the projects. Citizens see a positive development in their situation and specialists acknowledge that they are better able to exchange knowledge and professional perspectives. However, cost calculations show that more integration makes the interventions more expensive.
