This report includes the results of a user survey among homeless citizens who are living at shelters, also called section 110 types of accommodation. The survey focuses on the experience of citizens of their stay in this accommodation, including their level of satisfaction with the stay, their relationships with the staff and the other residents, as well as their level of satisfaction with the physical frameworks and the activities at the accommodation. The survey shows that by far the majority of users are satisfied with their stay at the accommodation. As many as 86% of respondents said that they are generally satisfied with their stay, whereas only 11% said that they were dissatisfied. However, they consider the shelter to be a temporary solution to an acute situation and want to move into their own home. The survey also shows that nine out of ten homeless citizens who stay at section 110 accommodation want to move into their own home. However, getting a home may take a long time, and the required help and support is not always available. Furthermore, every third user at the accommodation is not in contact with a case officer from the municipality during their stay.
