Labour Market
This report deals with the connection between unemployed people’s own expressed interest in finding a job as well as their efforts in this area, and their subsequent self-sufficiency for a period of up to two years following the interview. Self-sufficiency is defined as a period of at least four weeks in which the unemployed person is no longer receiving any kind of income compensation or support from the state.
The report is based on anonymous interviews with approximately 1,300 unemployed people carried out in June 2006. The interviewees are representative of the group of unemployed people who had signed up at their local job centre in week 21 (late May) in 2006.
The survey was funded by the Danish Government’s Labour Market Commission.
