This is a mid-term report in a longer evaluation of the Landsbyggefonden's (the national social housing fund) 2006-2010 pool. In the period between 2006 and 2010, the Landsbyggefonden (the national social housing fund) has granted DKK 2.2 bn. for social housing interventions and rent support in marginalised housing areas. The objective is to reverse and combat negative developments in the areas. The report comprises an impact evaluation of the current impacts of the interventions financed by the pool, and a process evaluation focussing on organisation and collaboration in social housing work. The impact evaluation shows that the interventions financed by the pool have so far had a positive effect on the number of residents in the area with employment. This is primarily because new, more socio-economically advantaged residents have moved into the areas. A survey of the most important players in social housing work has shown that the best results come from the broad wellbeing-oriented focus areas such as social activities and better security for residents, while it is more difficult to achieve results in areas such as health and employment. Here there is a greater need for coordination and collaboration between the municipality and housing organisation in order to achieve the desired results.
