The object of this survey is to form an overview of Danish social interventions for people with mental disorders. The survey is the first to draw on personal data about those using the special social schemes for people with mental disorders established pursuant to sections 83, 85, 100, 103, 104, 107 and 108 of the Social Services Act or section 105 of the Social Housing Act. It is based on information from KMD and a number of municipalities. The survey gives a picture of the group of people with mental disorders using psycho-social schemes and programmes. In many ways the group has characteristics very similar to those with poor social standing. The survey also describes municipal interventions for people with mental disorders. It finds that there are large differences between municipalities with regard to administration of the area and the number of referrals to psycho-social programmes and schemes.
