In the period 1994-1999 the European Social Fund has carried out a number of labour market programmes with the aim of combating long-term unemployment and supporting the integration of groups which in particular are under threat of social exclusion from the labour market.
In the period 1997-2000 the Danish National Institute of Social Research has evaluated the action under two of these programmes: Objective 3 and Employment (Denmark). The concluding part of this evaluation is presented in this report. The report represents a review of the programmes, the participants, and the effects of the action with the main importance attached to an evaluation of the programmes´ implementation on project level.
