The Elderly
In the future, most Danes will supplement their national old-age pensions with private pensions. Almost everyone saves today, and total pension wealth has grown steadily in recent years. This report reveals how much and through what schemes the Danes saves for their retirement. And how the pension wealth and pension savings are distributed among various groups of the population.
Some groups will have very little or no supplement to their national old-age pension. These are primarily the people who are still not mandatory obligated to save for their pension. This applies in particular to some of the groups receiving public transfer payments and immigrants from less developed countries.
