VIVE has knowledge on elderly people viewed from numerous angles. For instance, the living conditions of the elderly, the organisation of elder care, housing for the elderly and recruitment and retention in the labour market.

The ageing society is a challenge in many countries, including Denmark. It places new demands on the organisation of the welfare society, including elder care in particular. It also contributes to labour shortage and makes it necessary for seniors to stay longer in the labour market.
