The objective of the national social housing fund's 2006-2010 pool is to increase social cohesion in marginalised residential areas through social initiatives and by increasing the areas' competitiveness on the property market. In the period 2006-2010 the national social housing fund distributed DKK 2.2 billion to social housing initiatives and rent support.
The purpose of this report is to examine the results and effects of the funds distributed from the 2006-2010 pool. This report is the fifth and final part of the evaluation carried out by SFI - the Danish National Centre for Social Research, together with Rambøll Management Consulting.
The report examines the effects of initiatives concerning the composition of residents and their life situation, as well as the socio-economic characteristics of people moving to or from the residential areas. The residents' own assessment of their residential area are also examined. The report is based on register data and on a questionnaire survey of the residents in the assisted areas.
